The base charge is only the starting point
A quotation may charge for capacity over a period and separately for product movements or additional services. Confirm the quoted units, minimum term, minimum volume and the event that starts billing.
Costs to ask about
Request a breakdown rather than a single unqualified rate. Not every item applies to every terminal or contract.
- Capacity rental and minimum commitments
- Receipt, dispatch and additional throughput
- Transfers, pumping, heating and circulation
- Blending, testing, sampling and inventory services
- Extensions, taxes and other stated charges
Compare on the same assumptions
Put every quote on the same product, volume, duration and movement basis. Confirm whether amounts are per cubic metre, tonne, movement or month. Treat missing items as questions, not as zero costs.
Build a comparable cost picture
Use our worksheet to enter the actual charges quoted by a provider. It calculates a subtotal using your capacity and duration and keeps missing charges visible.
